2011: Year of the Metal Rabbit

I expect sales of certain Ann Summers products and Double A Duracell batteries will soar this year …

February 3rd sees the dawn of the Chinese New Year, and this year it’s the Year of the Rabbit.

The Metal Rabbit, to be exact.

The Wu Xing, otherwise translated as the Five Elements, basically defines the different phases, or relationships, between each animal in the Chinese zodiac.

The different elements are:

  • Fire
  • Earth
  • Metal
  • Water
  • Wood

The last time a Metal Rabbit presided over the zodiac was 1951, and it’s now his time again.

So, Happy New Year to China! I hope it’s a great year for everybody.

In other news, I expect sales of certain Ann Summers products and Double-A Duracell batteries will soar this year…
